I'm done with one week of full time work!...I liked it....no complaints here, people are nice, office is a nice environment, gettin work done, got a ocmputer, got a desk phone, people calling me an engineer...oh schnap...kinda weird

it's a 3-6 month temp-to-permanent engineering position (its 3 months minimum, he said usually they extend to 6)...if they like meat the end of that contract, they'll hire me full time, sooo, it's like an audition

cookie pooed in my room while i was asleep cause i was so tired

crap...literally

it still smelled after i cleaned it up, i realized about 12 hours later that there was still another one....she pooed on the open page of the friends booklet of the full 10 season package...bye bye friends booklet....

i will be awaiting the results of two interviews in the next couple of weeks...hopefuilly something turns up....i feel they both went well....

cookie's last official day here in irvine, maybe i'll bring her back once in awhile

The Job hunt - Where Anticipation Happens

just did a follow up call for the job. I first talked to one of my interviewers since the other one didn't answer the phone. We exchange our respective greetings. We each ask the status of each other's day. I inquire about the job that I had interviewed for. He said he believes they extended an offer to someone.

Thoughts race through my mind. Is Pacquiao going to win? How long can the Lakers bench keep up the effort showcased last night? Why is kobe SO good in the post? Is this guy telling me an offer is going to come to me soon? What am I going to eat for breakfast?

More thoughts begin to race through my mind....in a much slower fashion...my thoughts were power walking through my mind....now what? how do I end the conversation with this person? How do I sound like everything is A-okay to this person? then suddenly, POOF - thoughts just collapsed, and I tried to say good bye....but since kljasdflaksjdhf was in my mind at the time it came out as a sulky "o..ok..well thanks...I'll keep up to date then"

why did I say that? I'm not going to update. He knows that, why did he agree to me saying that I will keep up to date with them?

As if being semi-rejected weren't enough....I decided to call human resources, JUST to be sure. "Hi Julian, I was just going to call you, can you give me a second?"

A combination of their advertisements and elevator music flooded my right ear as I waited there knowing exactly what she was going to say after a brief period of making sure I'm the one they didn't pick.

"Hey, Julian, thanks for waiting, unfortunately, they did offer the position to someone else - You and the other person were the top 2 candidates, but they went with the other person after talking with the supervisor. I'm sorry, but if you are interested in our company I definitely suggest on keeping up to date with our company" -also not Kobe Bryant

Ohhh the irony...I wanted to say, LOL, like the letters straight out to her, " L-O-L, I just told the other guy that, I'm going to keep up to date!" But I decided not to pry, and I sasid "okay, thank you very much"

From the tone of her voice, I could sense that she could tell I've had better days

So that's my 3rd overall rejection... but this was definitely the closest, and I had a feeling I had this one. That's what I get for too much anticipation.

Now back to the drawing board. Back to focus. Back to determination. Back to reality.

not all dogs are bitches, but is a woman with a bitch...a bitch?

ok...so cookie is a nice playful dog...i walk her every morning and before i walk toward my apartment at the end of the walk, i let her off the leash because she's good, and even if there's people, (or the other dogs in the neighborhood because cookie has met them before) she's really friendly.....i digress...

someone is just moving in, she has a dog, i didn't realize until cookie got let off the leash, so she ran to go play with the dog, the owner freaks out and goes HEY hEY heY (while the dogs are like playing with each other), i'm laughing for about 3 seconds until i realize that she's an absolute bitch and i guess doesn't trust other dogs around hers and just was not comfortable;e with dogs playing.....OH THE HORROR

i can understand that it was irresponsible of me to let her off the leash, but cookie did NOT attack her, merely went to play with another dog. She starts yelling at my dog, and cookie gets scared and goes into their front door (this all occured in front of their doorstep). Then i go and get her after she yells "Get her away!" ...THEN on top of everything she says "Nice" in THE MOST SARCASTIC WAY HUMANLY POSSIBLE. I respond by saying "i'm realy sorry about that, she's really friendly though" then she just walks away with her dog...while cookie is there in shame with no one to play with, and i feel a little embarassed too.

There cookie was - head down, ears were held back, tail between her legs while we're sitting on our front stairs absorbing the events that had just ensued before our eyes ...my roommate comes out, having heard everything through the window and goes "was there a doggie fight?" I explained everything and then i said "well she was just a bitch about it" As I bring cookie inside saying "it's okay cookie...she's new, and a total bitch" - then she ran to get water.

I once again acknowledge that it was my mistake of letting her off the leash....but if another dog came at cookie and started playing with her, I would enjoy God's beautiful work of nature in its purest form - the primitive yet elegant interaction between two of man's best friends. Now these animals will be deprived of their given right to play with each other because why? Because she's a bitch that just doesn't understand that dogs need to play with each other

Funny thing about all of this, the other dog's name was Cookie. Didn't even look like any form of a cookie - too many different colors to be a cookie...maybe she can get away with it if she called her oatmeal raisin cookie...or burnt chocolate chip cookie....but NOT cookie - just means she sucks at naming dogs - friggin bitch.

i got a call

so basically the hiring agency gave me a call at 8:30 this morning saying that they went with another guy for the position. He said I was the runner-up and that we both had the same skill set, except he lived 5 minutes away. He said if the guy doesn't pass the background check, doesn't accept the job, or just doesn't show up to work - I'm next in line....I'm happy for that guy, I just hope he made the mistake of smoking weed about a month ago so he wouldn't pass his drug test. Or I hope he was charged wit a misdemeanor for like....being drunk in public or something. Dang I wonder if they called my references, I was sure those references would put me over the top....well that is all...I just wanna play basketball and dota.

I will also say the interview was very technical, but ya, if I get it, I get it, if not, then well...move on

buca di p90x

k so i woke up this morning and printed out all of the p90x documents....there's a lot of things to keep track of...but i'm excited, i got a little binder with stuff to track my progress. It said to take a start photo too. So i have a before photo. I also weighed myself. First i weighed myself and it read 120 something....i was like wtf why is this thing broken. Then I put it on the tile in the bathroom, and the real reading came out....wooo, I got an ass for days. Let's just say I got my work cut out for me.

it wasn't good that i didnt' eat breakfast, but it was worth it being in the zone and printing out those things.

a little set back cause my mom came to visit her friend here in Laguna Niguel, so we ate at Buca Di Beppo in Tustin, and they ordered a lot cause they thought I would eat everything. They gave me all the leftovers too, so now i have dinner.

so ya, I'm restarting p90x because before I was just playing random videos and doing the workouts everyday. There's an actual plan that you follow, so I'm gonna follow it.

I've decided to attempt to try to blog again.

let's see how long I can keep this up...it's like a journal right?

San Gabriel Mission Fair Today, last day...come if you're bored. I will provide you cantaloupe juice and a combo plate consisting of rice, pancit noodles, chicken adobo, and 3 - count 'em 3 lumpia egg rolls. Since you're my friend, I'll throw in a pork BBQ stick...and the definition for that BBQ is two fold - one for Best of the Best Quality as well as Bar-Be-Que.

I think this blog will be short, I don't wanna use up my blogging energy for the year, I gotta conserve.

Summer Retreat is next week....all I gotta say is....GO!
