Update of Julian

So it's been a really long time since I've blogged.  Time to go in typical random bullet point blog mode.  

- Work has been pretty busy  I have a new desk - it's really big...more than I can ever imagine using.  

- I turned 24...WOOOOO!! KB24!! 

- I have been training for the Men's Health Urbanathlon...about a month left until the race....tweaked my ankle a bit playing basketball, but I was able to run 5 miles on a tweaked ankle, I'll be ready

- I have been really busy with closing out the condo I've been trying to get.  Looks like the deal is almost done.  It's super stressful dealing with the seller's incompetent agent.  My parents are helping me invest in  a condo.  It's close to work.  Even if I don't end up living in it, it should be easy to rent out.  Houses will never be cheaper than they are now

- I want a Macbook Air

- RIP Steve Jobs

- Picking up mom and dad from airport on Friday from their east coast trip

- Going to SF week of Nov 4-6 and Nov 11-13.  1st week is with some of my good friends from Irvine (as well as krystle) and 2nd week is the week of the race

- bye bye NBA - What would you rather have - Laker champions 2011-2012 with a 40 game season?  Or pacquiao controversial split decision victory over mayweather?  

- Will be watching Pacquiao vs Marquez somewhere in the bay on Nov. 12, please suggest places to watch

- Need to start packing

- I can't wait to be free of the anarchy/monopoly that is Irvine Company Apartments

- After Urbanathlon, I want to start snowboarding...and possible look into training for a triathlon of some kind

- I WILL start biking to work - I get $35 a month if I bike to work at least 11 times a month hahaha

- I WILL start bringing my own lunch

- I want adventures to be nonstop - I have an REI membership now

- Need to start thinking about starting to study for my Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam - pre course is around january

- Jury Duty Dec. 12 - I actually hope I get picked (I get paid at work up to 10 days)

- BUSY END OF THE YEAR

- Who still reads these?

- No Philippines this Christmas

- Krystle got me an awesome birthday gift - original replica of New York Times Front Page dated Oct. 2, 1987 - I'm gonna frame it!

- Keratoconus sucks - but I am somewhat used to these hard glass contact lenses - hopefully my Keratoconus does not progress

I was totally sick the whole game with a 100+ fever, but I'm glad the Lakers didn't give me a 105 fever by losing game 1. 15 more to go!!

Greetings Bloggers!

So it has been a long time since I have blogged. I apologize to those who read my blog. So yes shout out to Andrew Ngo for reminding me to blog. Before I update my life I would like to insert an endorsement.....USE GOOGLE BUZZ FOLKS, GOOGLE NEEDS OUR HELP TO BE THE NEXT BEST SOCIAL NETWORKING GIANT...the tools are there, people just need to mainstream their gmail

Work - It's been keeping me busy. My last update about work was that I got the job and that i would have a 3-6 month temporary position. It has been 3 months and I think it has been going pretty well. My boss is laid back, but at the same time when we need to get stuff done we get on top of it. I've worked over times a couple times, but I've been doing more report writing than manual labor. I'm involved in a project to get an order of medical drugs to Venezuela. Although my part is small and updating some bills of materials, I get to see the whole process from beginning to end of getting new product to customers. It's pretty exciting...I think. Another project that I've been working on is trying to qualify a new resin for one of our products...A lot of crap goes into changing one little thing, I've learned a lot of useless steps are involved, but its all part of the process. In the next couple months I'm going to inquire on the security of my position. I hope in the next 3 months I will get offered a salary position or at LEAst a raise, cuz I've been workin my ass off. Otherwise, my hours are chill, don't need to clock in, learning a lot, and most importantly, gaining experience.

Living situation, may need to find a new place....not gonna get into that right now...but it's on my stuff to do

Need to start managing money

E.I.T. exam, never been so unmotivated for a test....I'll study, but I feel like it's just not on my top priorities

I have a better idea of what I want to do...Project Management in engineering....there's tests for it and everything...and also looking to get an MBA down the road....don't worry folks this is all just the professional side, I'm still gonna act *wink*, we all just need that fall back

I've been paying loans and saving some money, I feel somewhat responsible....but I definitely need to be more frugal with my money

Lakers...agh, wonderful performance wednesday, but a terrible display on Friday, but I will forgive you as long as you deliver come playoff time....I still think Boston can take Cleveland in a 7 game series...but the Lake Show is gonna encore, count on that - PLAYOFFS ARE HERE BABY, I love spring time

Krystle and I are gonna watch GLEE live in concert...that will be fun...if you still think Glee is a gay show, you need to give it a chance

I have no work next friday, so I'm going home home this weekend, so let's hang Will Trang lol

I will try my best to update more, it's just so hard for me to remember, and I guess I'm lazy, but I'm getting my life organized....take care people

I''ve been going to 24 pretty consistently, and playing ball...just need to eat better, and cook more, and we're good!...so ryan reynolds body here I come!!! HAHHAHA

work isn't bad, a month and a half has passed already, it's good having a sense of urgency and responsibility, for those applying, keep at it, don''t give up, you can do it! who knows i may be joining the job market again in a couple of months

first week

I'm done with one week of full time work!...I liked it....no complaints here, people are nice, office is a nice environment, gettin work done, got a ocmputer, got a desk phone, people calling me an engineer...oh schnap...kinda weird

I GOT A JOB!!!!

it's a 3-6 month temp-to-permanent engineering position (its 3 months minimum, he said usually they extend to 6)...if they like meat the end of that contract, they'll hire me full time, sooo, it's like an audition
